Chrono Trigger remake possible, says Takashi Tokita

Posted by: Duelist Dx on April 3, 2008 at 5:41 pm

The director of Final Fantasy IV DS has been interviewed in Nintendo Power’s May issue, and talked about a possible Chrono Trigger remake: “Chrono Trigger was a no-holds-barred, swashbuckling adventure that was a lot of fun to work on… If the demand is great enough, it’s certainly possible. But as a creator, I feel the need to create new titles and not just series installments and remakes. I realize it’s a little strange for me to be saying that in an interview about Final Fantasy IV (laughs). But I need to remind myself of that, too.”

So although it might be possible if the demand is big enough, he himself is against it. That makes sense, but we all hope he’ll be convinced otherwise!

Square Enix named one of the world’s top developers by GDM

Posted by: Duelist Dx on March 10, 2008 at 7:24 am

Square Enix has been named one of the world’s top developers in Game Developer magazine’s first-ever study ranking the top 50 studios worldwide. The company reached the 16 respected place, with Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII and Front Mission DS as their notable games. Developers were assessed according to sales data, Metacritic review scores and an anonymous survey on Gamasutra.com in which professionals were asked to score developers on overall reputation as well as direct interaction working for or with that developer.

Semi-Rumor: Complete Dissidia: FF villain list

Posted by: Duelist Dx on March 2, 2008 at 5:49 pm

A new Dissidia: Final Fantasy poster drawn by Yoshitaka Amano has surfaced online, and seems to feature several new villains, which will be included in the game. The current list of characters is as follows: · Final Fantasy - Warrior of Light, Garland
· Final Fantasy II - Firion, Emperor Palemecia
· Final Fantasy III - Cloud of Darkness (New)
· Final Fantasy IV - Golbez (New)
· Final Fantasy V - Exdeath (New)
· Final Fantasy VI - Kefka (New)
· Final Fantasy VII - Sephiroth
· Final Fantasy VIII - Squall, Ultemecia
· Final Fantasy IX - Zidane, Kuja
· Final Fantasy X - Tidus, Jecht (New)

Notice how Square Enix chose Jecht over Seymour, which is pretty surprising.

This is still to be able to quickly improve my game pages, by getting the images from the image gallery. I will start on that Friday, because I will be away from tomorrow till Thursday. I’ ll be in Spain ;)

Radio Update

Posted by: Duelist Dx on February 20, 2008 at 7:15 pm

I’ve fixed both Firefox and Internet Explorer porblems for the radio now. About the radio:

It opens in a new pop-up screen, so you can keep browsing while you listen to it. It might take aroudn 15 seconds to stream the song, so please be patience while it does that. This music player  currently contains some songs I downloaded, and I added the ones I liked so far. I will add more over time, and I will also put each song in the radio available to be downloaded.

Signatures and gallery fix

Posted by: Duelist Dx on February 5, 2008 at 7:48 am

Okay people.. On school I noticed there was a bug with the tables in the gallery, making them spread the whole page in internet explorer, in stead of just the 648 pixel it’ s supposed to cover. I fixed this now, so the site should also work fine in internet explorer.

Futhermore I puut some of Celia’ s signatures online at our signature page.  She made 6 signatures for us, and you are free to use them, as long as you give her or YFFS credit, and don’ t say you made them!
